Tacky? haha again it depends on the crowd but I have seen them done before and they were pretty funny.1. say that their keys were in the passenger side of the car with the car lights on. This is a good way to get all guests to know more about each person as some guests will not know the groom well and some will not know the bride.Īnother is to describe a car with its lights on in the parking lot, making up a ridiculous description of what is in the car. Then ask the couple the answers to the questions and make up funny alternatives. Make 10-15 MC choice questions about the couple like where they went on their first date, etc. Quiz called “How well do you know bride and groom”. Write a quiz before hand and put copies on each table, or at each place setting. Then saying……if any guys have a key to the groom’s house… I suppose now would also be the time to give it back” – then have a guy return his key… – Give out keys to several girls in the audience before hand and say something like “now that X is getting married, any girls that have one of his house keys, I think now’s the time to turn it in” – then have a long line of girls coming up to return the keys and put them in a dish at the head table. what do you bees think of this? Of course it entirely depends on the crowd. Here are some funny things that I have seen at previous weddings. We are lucky we won’t be MC’ing alone! Good luck to you too □ My co-MC will say how he knows a groom and we might throw in a funny story. I am not planning to be a completely phoney the whole evening, just was looking for some inspiration for ideas to incorporate a few jokes. also, I do recognize the best jokes are personal stories that are about the bride and groom.I also plan to write an introduction, to welcome guests and briefly state how I know the bride. I was looking for advice regarding funny things that people have seen other people do at previous weddings, not advice that I should try to avoid being funny.

You are not alone in your google search either lol: I think if I have my hair and makeup rocking that will help. I’m hoping he will have some stories too.Īside from that, I like what a pp said about being confident and trying to get peoples names right. I have a co-mc, so I’ll also be touching base with him to see what he thinks… Someone I know and is pretty affable and nice. I’m also going to think of some small story of the couple to keep in my pocket in case the jokes don’t seem to fit the mood. I think telling people my/your (good) first impressions of them would be a good way to go. I met both separatly so that should help kill some time if I need to do so.

Going to write an intro, saying how I know the bride and groom. It’s something I’ve traded back and forth with the bride and also a normal thing for me, so hopefully they don’t fall too flat. I’m going to google some silly/lame jokes and have a sheet of them to handle any dead spaces. Dude, I’m in the same boat! Bumping to follow along, and also to share my thoughts so far.
